We are looking for an enthusiastic **Ecologist **who is experienced and accredited in **Biodiversity Assessment Methodology** to join our Environmental Services team.

You will have the opportunity to assist in delivering environmental management and conservation planning solutions on both large and small-scale projects for a variety of clients.

**About You**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Ecology/Zoology/Environmental Science
- BAM accreditation or capacity to attain accreditation
- A strong understanding of Biodiversity Assessment Methodology survey guidelines and report preparation, including BDAR and BSSAR
- Working knowledge of New South Wales and Commonwealth environmental legislation
- Skills and experience in fauna surveys and reporting; wildlife management; and fauna identification and handling
- Flora species and fauna habitat knowledge and identification skills
- Experience in planning, coordinating and undertaking ecological fieldwork
- Willingness and capability to conduct remote field work
- Demonstrated data analysis and report writing skills
- Strong time and project management skills
- A commitment to safety and safe work practices
- Well-developed analytical, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well with a variety of other people and work safely in the field
- Current driver’s licence - manual licence preferred

**The following skills and attributes would be highly regarded**:

- Experience in preparing a range of high-quality consulting reports
- Prior ecological consulting experience
- Mapping abilities using QGIS and / or ArcGIS
- Major project safety inductions and training, including construction white card
- Strong project, budget and client management skills
