Your contribution
The Principal Risk and Governance Officer role has the following purposes:

- to lead the coordination of the enterprise risk management reporting and continuous improvement activities in alignment with QLeave's Enterprise Risk Management Framework comprising the Risk Management Policy and Procedure
- to support the review and reporting of the fraud and corruption risk register
- to implement and coordinate assurance reviews with each business unit manager to strengthen compliance of mandatory requirements and legislative obligations
- to prepare high quality board and committee papers on the implementation of enterprise risk management and assurance activities
- to undertake project related activities that strengthens and creates synergies in implementing QLeave's operations.

Using your knowledge, skills and experience in enterprise risk management and assurance, you will:

- coordinate and drive the implementation of QLeave's enterprise risk management and fraud and corruption prevention reporting, and assurance arrangements consistent with the overarching frameworks and related policies and processes
- provide expert advice to the General Manager, Directors and Managers to identify, assess and treat risks and identify emerging risks based on QLeave's risk appetite statement
- contribute to maturing the enterprise wide risk management culture and assurance frameworks aligned with QLeave's values in enabling the achievement of strategic objectives
- coordinate the review of relevant policies, procedures and plans in consultation with key stakeholders, including risk assessment and assurance tools and templates, as required
- assist with business continuity planning activities and coordinating updates, where required
- prepare analytical reports for the Executive Leadership Team and the Boards using the material risk register and assurance statements to draft evidence-based insights, to ensure compliance with requirements and legislative obligations
- undertake projects, as required, that strengthen assurance, drive innovation and continuous improvement
- contribute to an effective records management culture
- other tasks from time to time as directed by your manager or the Director Corporate Services.

This position reports to the Manager, Governance, Risk and Planning, which is part of the Corporate Services division. The Manager, Governance, Risk and Planning reports to the Director Corporate Services.

- shaped and sustained positive relationships with employees and facilitated effective consultation with stakeholders.

There are no mandatory qualifications for this role. Qualifications in business management and/or risk management or a related discipline will be favourably regarded.
