**The Role**

The
**Support Worker** role will work in unity and demonstrate the ability and passion to learn. To confidently assist the entire team and gain an understanding of the complexities of providing a service for people who are deaf or hard of hearing.

**Role requirements**:

- **Fluency in Auslan essential for immediate working opportunities**:

- If you are willing to learn Auslan, please apply. A commitment from you to learning could see you on a new career path.
- Supporting independent living for the client and extended family members. This could include creating a unique client care program, in line with their individual requirements, in full support of independent living.
- Assisting clients with shopping, doctors’, and other scheduled appointments.
- Be professionally presented, show strength in communication, ask questions where needed, and can step up when required.
- Working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing clients.
- Experience with additional disabilities is welcomed.
- Above all else, encourage and practice a kind and compassionate workspace.

The
**Support Worker role** will be paid at an hourly rate plus superannuation. Previous experience will determine the appropriate immediate income level.

The
**Support Worker role(s) **are offered on a permanent/full-time, and permanent/part-time basis, with a commencement, indicated as immediate.
