**Position**: Customer Service Officer

**Duration**: ASAP start - 12 weeks with the potential to extend

**Location**: Local Council Northeastern Suburbs

**Rate**:$34.79 per hour + Super

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To provide excellent first-point-of-contact service to customers contacting the Council.
- To contribute to the award-winning Customer Service Team, by providing responsive, accessible, accurate and reliable service in line with community expectations, and reflecting best practice standards.
- To liaise with other departments to identify opportunities for on-going improvement in the provision of internal and external customer service.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Customer Service experience
- Ability to engage empathetically with customers with emotionally charged issues would be highly regarded.
- **Local government experience**
