Description:
Assist individuals, families and groups with social, emotional or financial difficulties to improve quality of life, by educating and supporting them and working towards change in their social environment.

**Tasks**:

- Researching and analyzing community issues, needs and problems
- Developing, Evaluating and maintaining community resources and programs
- Evaluating data and written reports such as submissions and requesting funding for continuing programs and new projects
- Identifying issues of local need concerns and aspirations through community consultation
- organizing local sporting, cultural and recreational events and activities such as community functions, hobby classes, community arts projects and sporting competitions
- Assessing risk and providing short term crisis counselling for victims of domestic violence, child abuse, disasters and other crisis's
- Assisting to establish and administer neighborhood houses community groups, employment training programs and other services
- A bachelor or higher degree
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Counselling or Social work degree
- WWCC
- Police check
- Car and license
- Covid vaccinations
- Working Visa or Australian Citizen
- 2 professional references
- First Aid

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $32.00 - $37.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Clyde North, VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Health field: 5 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Bachelor or higher educational degree (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
