Powerlink Queensland currently has multiple career opportunities, long term contracts and permanent, for experienced Electrical Linespersons/ Senior Construction Inspectors to ensure construction activities on our transmission lines network are carried out in line with our regional project delivery requirements.

**About the role**:
In this critical project delivery role you will provide construction site based:

- advice, supervision, professional support and mentoring on transmission lines projects;
- assistance with complex construction planning, staging and provide site inspection, monitoring and reporting of site activities to the Project Manager.

You will ensure and provide advice on all lines construction and/or refurbishment activities are carried out as per:

- the contract, Standard specification requirements for hardware and materials and Contractor’s Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and checklists
- technical, quality and HSE compliance within a live transmission system environment
- Safety Advice for construction and staging works to ensure Safe Access to High Voltage and Electrical Apparatus (SAHVEA)

**About you**:
You are an Electrical Linesperson with transmission line construction experience with knowledge and experience in:

- Communicating, influencing and negotiating effectively with various project delivery stakeholders, inspectors and contractors
- Ability to interpret drawings and technical specification related to the construction of critical infrastructure projects ideally in high voltage power systems and transmission lines in particular.
- Contract Management for construction industry contracts ideally using AS4000/2124 General Conditions of Contract.
- Working at heights

Qualifications:

- Queensland Electrical Workers and contractors Board Certificate as an Electrical Linesperson
- Conversant with SAHVEA and ESR
- Current Qld “C class” Drivers Licence (manual).

These project roles will be supporting regionally based construction site projects and will be required to frequently travel and work on remote construction sites in regional queensland. Regional applicants in Queensland will be considered.
