**About the role**:
Queensland's energy system is transforming to create reliable, clean and affordable energy to power generations to come. We seek qualified trades and technical service team members to join our friendly and spirited field crews, working safely to perform critical maintenance works, resolve complex problems, and upgrade our network to deliver safe and reliable electricity to over 5 million Queenslanders. Our transmission lines staff complete critical maintenance, refurbishment, capital project and emergency repair work across the Queensland network, comprising 15,345 circuit KM of high voltage transmission lines and 147 substations. Work is performed on steel and concrete structures up to 330kV by using dead and live line techniques.
**About you**:
With safety at the core of your work, you will be self-motivated and driven to achieve quality outcomes while working in a team environment. You will enjoy variety, new challenges, and working outside. The Powerlink network boasts some of the tallest HV towers in Australia, reaching up to 85mtrs, meaning you will enjoy the physical challenges associated with working at heights as well as the amazing views on offer. Possessing a Qld (or mutually recognised) Electrical Work Licence (specifically Transmission Linesperson), you will also need a manual "C" & "HR" class driver's licence. Dogging and Advanced Rigging certificates are desirable, however Powerlink can support you in acquiring these on the job.
**What training will you receive?**:
To work on Queensland's high voltage network all new employees without relevant experience will undertake structured high quality training in order to acquire the necessary skills and licences. With industry experts, and working on Tier one equipment, the training offered at Powerlink is unrivalled in Queensland. Our learning and training programs include technical and professional modules, with all role specific training fully supported by Powerlink and linked to your career development and pay progression.
