At Aurecon, we are looking for a passionate and Senior Transmission Lines Designer to join our dynamic Power Transmission and Distribution team in Queensland. This role is your chance to work on high-impact, cutting-edge projects across Brisbane and beyond, designing crucial electrical transmission infrastructure for some of our most exciting clients.

As part of our Transmission and Distribution practice group, you’ll collaborate with diverse, forward-thinking teams, taking on fast-paced and challenging projects that push the boundaries of what's possible in Transmission network design.

With Australia's energy market undergoing a transformation, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering state-of-the-art transmission line infrastructure (up to 500kV) as part of the AEMO Integrated System Plan (ISP) and Renewable Energy Zones (REZ).

Key Responsibilities to Bring Ideas to Life

As part of our Design Team, you will play a key role in bringing ideas to life for our clients, who are leading the way in the development of the power transmission network across Australia and globally. From major interstate interconnectors to the connection of iconic nation-building projects to the grid, you will have the opportunity to work on projects that truly make an impact.

In this role, you will collaborate with a team of highly skilled specialists who are at the forefront of tackling some of the most complex challenges in the energy sector. You will help solve intricate transmission and distribution line problems, work on major overhead line and underground feeder projects, and develop your expertise in the design of transmission lines.

What We’re Looking For

In this role, you will collaborate closely with our clients to tackle some of the most complex transmission line challenges, helping to find innovative solutions. You will design major transmission line projects, ensuring that each aspect is executed with precision and expertise. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor and guide our design teams, sharing your knowledge on the intricate structural and electrical elements of transmission line design. Your contributions will play a significant role in shaping Aurecon’s journey toward the future of energy transmission.

Technically, you will have hands on experience with transmission line design software such as PLS-TOWER, PLS-POLE and PLS-CAD and you will have or working towards CPEng and/or RPEQ (preferred).
