The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.

In the role, you will be required to provide executive support in a busy environment, including planning and managing activities within agreed time frames, and working collaboratively across the Directorate’s Leadership team, the National Executive and Ahpra more broadly.
You are a proactive professional with a talent for managing competing priorities and as the Executive Assistant to the Executive Director you’ll play a pivotal role in providing high-level, confidential support. This position ensures the smooth operation of the ED’s office by managing schedules, facilitating communication, and collaborating with key stakeholders across the organisation.

**Your experience includes**:
- Extensive experience providing executive-level support in a complex organisation, ideally in the public or corporate sector.
- Proven ability to make informed decisions, manage competing priorities, and resolve issues independently.
- High-level communication skills, including preparing agendas, minutes, and professional correspondence.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with experience representing organisations to senior stakeholders.
- Strong organisational capabilities and proficiency in implementing effective office systems.
**What you will be doing**:
- Providing comprehensive and confidential administrative support to the ED and leadership team.
- Managing the ED’s calendar, appointments, and related activities with precision and efficiency.
- Coordinating correspondence, prioritising tasks, and ensuring timely follow-up on key matters.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Driving improvements in office processes and supporting project delivery to enhance outcomes.
