
Project / Business Support Officer (V23/8882)

This position works collaboratively to facilitate the successful delivery of projects and manage
day-to-day business processes and systems associated with the functions of the Branch.
They provide an important role in guiding an environment of continuous improvement and
excellent customer service.

of other staff within the Council.
**Key External Relationships**:
Stakeholders, residents, external agencies,
consultants, community groups, government
departments.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Draft and process tender and contract documentation within targeted timeframes; ensure
compliance with governance frameworks for procurement.
- Work with colleagues to track, monitor and report on the status of the asset, grant and
maintenance works programs and other corporate projects. Identify risks and contribute to
the review and recommendation of mitigating strategies.

- Record variations to scope, schedule, or budget; ensure they are appropriately
determined.
- Manage purchasing requisitions and account payment workflows.
- Facilitate backend processes associated with commissioning and maintaining assets.
- Maintain currency of asset management registers and depreciation schedules.
- Prepare communication materials, including writing copy, editing, and proofing for
publication on a range of media.
- Follow up action on correspondence, enquiries, and resolutions of the Council.
- Support the development, implementation and management of digital systems and
associated process and procedures.
- Contribute to the production and improvement of routine and customised reports,
dashboards, and analysis to facilitate informed decision making.
- Provide guidance and coaching of staff in systems and processes including the use of
corporate software and digital technology.
