Fantastic opportunity within the ALM QLD business in the newly created Retail Development Manager role based out of our Crestmead office. Reporting to the IBA Business Manager, this role is responsible for delivering of Metcash’s “Best Store In Town” Strategy. Directly responsible for executing the instore development / redevelopment of new and existing IBA Stores within Queensland & Northern Rivers NSW. Your ability to negotiate and liaise with third party tradespeople, along with your commercial and project management ability will be integral to your achievement.

What you’ll do

Manage the store new development process within the IBA customer base within QLD

Deliver budgeted refurbishments within the agreed timeframes and budgets.

Communicate frequently / progress reporting with all key internal and external stakeholders

Work closely with our members and IBA team to ensure professional execution of developments

Deliver genuine best in class retail solutions and innovation

Work with BDM team to “prospect” future greenfield and suitable development sites

What you’ll bring

Proven experience in Project Management and managing customers / suppliers

Sound knowledge of the retail Liquor channel and broader retail market

Effective communicator

Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to quickly forge mutually beneficial working relationships

Ideally some experience in retail fit out / merchandising
