Rare and exciting opportunity for a Quality & Innovations Manager to join a thriving part of the Service Stream business within our Industrial division.
About the Role

Service Stream's Industrial division are currently seeking a Quality and Innovation Manager to join our growing company. Work directly with the Sector Lead - Energy and the Business Services manager to define, develop and implement the quality and continuous improvement management framework for the Industrial services business.

The Quality and Innovation manager will ensure that key quality and innovation information is collated, stored and reported to enable replication and improvement business wide.

Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Port Melbourne, VIC

Reporting Line: Sector Lead - Energy

Key Responsibilities

This role is responsible for taking a hands-on approach and physically mobilising sites to establish and integrate quality and innovation systems into the daily activities of our contracts. Ensuring that as and when required all projects have the necessary quality and improvement support which is required.

Other responsibilities include:

- Development and implementation of Centralised Quality management framework / Centralised Continuous Improvement Framework
- Direct oversight on quality challenged projects or highly technically sensitive or strategic contacts
- Work with Sector lead and business services manager to develop Governance process for contracts including
- Management of the Audit framework and schedule for Industrial services contracts and projects
- Ownership and stewardship of all accreditations/ certifications
- Oversee development and maintenance of Welding technology library in accordance with ISO 3834
- Ensure that quality plans, inspection and verification activities are successfully implemented for all project scopes of work and are effectively managed and completed on schedule
- Provide status reporting to the Management team on the works under construction.
- Ensure materials and consumables are received, stored, transported and applied in accordance with approved procedures and manufacturer’s guidelines.
- Contribute to and manage the progressive compilation of quality documentation and MDR
- Quality and innovation frameworks are implemented and monitored for compliance
- Ensure key strategic account customer satisfaction health checks are completed
- Ensure accreditations and certifications are maintained and managed

About You

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate and possess the following:

- Considerable experience (5+ years) in a Quality inspection role with organisational wide responsibilities.
- Sound knowledge of Quality legislation, industry and best-practice standards and their relevance to the group.
- Knowledge and expertise of Quality practices, standards, systems and processes relevant to the operations of construction teams.
- Degree, Trade or certificate in a related discipline and experience working within the applicable codes for piping and pressure vessel construction and certification.
- Recognition as a welding inspection specialist through IWS and WA
