**We have an exciting opening for a**n early career professional** with 1-3 **years** experience** in public transport planning to join our Sustainable Transport team in Melbourne.**

We are seeking someone who is passionate in working with our clients to develop sustainable transport networks that provide people with viable alternatives to private automobiles, helping our cities to become more dynamic and sustainable. Our clients include federal, state and local governments, public transport operators and other private sector clients with an interest in transport, public transport and the future of cities. Ultimately, our clients make the decisions that shape our cities, and our role is to make sure those decisions are based on the best evidence and advice available.

We’re a multi-disciplinary team and apart from other public transport planners, you’ll be working with transport planners, transport economists, data specialists, software engineers and transport modellers who are focused on providing evidence and data-driven advice to help our clients make informed transport investment decisions.

About you

Passionate about transport, you will have an interest in and some knowledge of the challenges facing decision-makers in transport planning. You are seeking to further develop skills in public transport planning, including network planning, service planning, and/or operations planning for bus, light rail, and/or rail.

With strong writing skills and the ability to communicate to a diverse audience, you are looking to work within a multidisciplinary project team to provide advice to our clients regarding transport service, infrastructure and policy. You will hold a degree in urban planning, engineering, or a relevant field and have some (at least one year) experience in a transport-related role within the consulting industry or government.
