An exciting opportunity exists for a talented and passionate individual to join the Corporate Governance Branch, in the role of Secretariat Adviser at the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
The Corporate Governance branch aims to implement contemporary governance practices that support the delivery of departmental objectives.
As the Secretariat and Adviser, Corporate Governance, you will support the department's Audit and Risk Management Committee by providing high quality secretariat services. You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the corporate assurance program, including projects in internal audit, risk management, insurance, and business continuity.
You will have well developed interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to develop effective relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders and enjoy working within a dynamic team. You will also have some previous experience in a secretariat role.
About you
- Demonstrated understanding of corporate assurance functions and familiarity with the operation and role of audit committees.
- Sound judgement,conceptual and analytical skills, strong initiative and a ‘can do' approach to identify issues and develop appropriate solutions.
- Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable with the ability to meet deadlines while working in pressured situations.
- Highly developed influence and negotiation skills, with the ability to use direct and indirect influencing strategies to gain agreement to proposals and ideas.
