The General Manager of Talent Acquisition is a newly created and critical position, responsible for leading and managing effective delivery of The Star’s talent acquisition strategy across the Group. This role will have a strong focus on ensuring solid talent pipelines for business continuity and growth based in compliant practices. You will bring and share your knowledge and experience to inspire, lead change and create the right impact for the business.

This is a permanent full-time senior leadership role, and can be based in Sydney, Gold Coast or Brisbane.

**Key responsibilities**
- Provide the overall leadership and continuous review and approval of the Talent Acquisition Strategy to ensure alignment with the Group People Strategy
- Ensure all Talent Acquisition procedures and operations comply with regulatory requirements, including the establishment, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of effective controls
- Own the strategic design and delivery of a compliant onboarding experience for all new hires that complies with all relevant state-based Casino legislation
- Overall strategic accountability for onboarding
- Manage a geographically diverse team and ensuring high levels of team engagement by providing learning, development, and growth opportunities
- Play a key role in the ownership of Talent programs and projects across the business, including supporting the partnership of teams and other senior leaders to ensure consistent, superior customer service, timely and effective delivery of end-to-end recruitment and onboarding services to the business

- Experience as a senior leader within a regulated environment
- Strong understanding of effective strategies to deliver hiring requirements in a high volume and fast paced industry
- Ability to manage a team using virtual and remote based resources, including accountability of the team and performance conversations
- Excellent capability in consulting and communication skills with internal and external partners, including senior executives
- Experience in leading and driving the transformation of a talent service delivery model
