**About the Company**

Davidson have partnered with a dynamic and innovative Queensland Government department. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Communication Officer to work on a 3-6-month contract.

**About the Role**

The Senior Communication Officer is part of the Strategic Communication and Engagement (SCE) branch. SCE delivers internal and external communication, media, marketing, online and creative services. The branch develops and deploys high level campaigns to promote energy, construction and procurement projects and initiatives to businesses and communities across Queensland.
- Actively participate as a senior member of a team of communication professionals to develop and deliver innovative communication strategies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with senior management, other Queensland Government agencies and key stakeholders.
- Provide advice on communication strategy and delivery.
- Develop, implement and evaluate communication strategies on topics and issues that are strategic priorities.
- Negotiate with colleagues to assist in the assessment and triaging of both planned and unplanned communications projects.
- Build and maintain a strong knowledge of the department, including objectives, projects, opportunities, and challenges.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement by actively innovating and improving strategies, processes, and systems.
- Maintain an understanding of and adherence to human resource and financial management processes and policies.
- Positively contribute to the continued development of team, branch and organisational culture and staff engagement strategies.
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Queensland Public Sector values.

**About You**
- Demonstrated experience in delivering significant or complex communication, media, or engagement projects.
- Strong project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to plan and manage the delivery of numerous competing priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in a communication and/or project management context.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and contribute to the positive culture of a team with a track record of maintaining a customer service mentality and supporting all colleagues to succeed.

**The Benefits**
- $68.92 - $73.59 per hour + super (paid weekly)
- Full-time 38 hours per week (Monday - Friday)
- WFH
- 3-month contract
