This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced health and safety professional to join our team in a role designed to influence change and build strong relationships.

Reporting directly to the National Manager - Health, Safety & Wellbeing, you will work collaboratively to help shape our WHS management system to support a proactive and contemporary focus on employee health and safety in the workplace.

**About the role**:
Permanent, Full time. Approximate Salary 90K

The Health and Safety Advisor will play an integral part in driving a culture of positive safety practices and behaviours, through their timely and effective engagement across the organisation.

As part of the wider WHS team, this position will provide advice, support, coaching and pro-active leadership in all aspects pertaining to the management of workplace health and safety. For further information please refer to the position description.

**What’s essential**:

- Tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety or relevant experience
- A minimum 3+ years demonstrated experience in a Health and Safety position
- Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety legislation
- Proven capability to provide expert advice and support to employees and leaders in meeting WHS legislative and regulatory requirements
- The ability to travel to provide support as required
- Desirable but not essential_
- Experience working in a not for profit or social purpose setting.
- Experience working within the disability or community services sector.
