**About you**:
We are seeking an experienced health and safety professional to join our People & Culture team. Reporting directly to the National Manager - Health, Safety & Wellbeing, you will work collaboratively to help shape our WHS management system to support a proactive and contemporary focus on employee health and safety in the workplace. This position will be based in our Sunshine Office, Melbourne and will support our operations in Victoria.

**About the role**:
Permanent, Full time. Approximate Salary 90K

The Health and Safety Advisor will play an integral part in driving a culture of positive safety practices and behaviours, through their timely and effective engagement across the organisation. As part of the wider WHS team, this position will provide advice, support, coaching and pro-active leadership in all aspects pertaining to the management of workplace health and safety. **What’s essential**:

- Tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety or relevant experience
- A minimum 5 years demonstrated experience in a Health and Safety position
- Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety legislation
- Proven capability to provide expert advice and support to employees and leaders in meeting WHS legislative and regulatory requirements
- The ability to travel to provide support as required
- Desirable but not essential_
- Experience working in a not for profit or social purpose setting.
- Experience working within the disability or community services sector.
