**Environmental Services Assistant**
**Monash Medical Centre (Clayton)**

**Our Journey**:
Support Services is responsible for the provision of non-clinical services that includes food services, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, central production kitchen, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services.

Monash Medical Centre, Clayton is seeking experienced Environmental Services Assistants to join our team with a number of opportunities available.

**Shifts**

**Position 1 - Environmental Services Assistant**:

- (Office Cleaning, general cleaning, ward support, furniture removal)_
Monday to Friday: 16:00 to 23:30
- (60 hours per fortnight)_

**Position 2 - Environmental Services Assistant**:

- (Logistics Waste & linen removal including general cleaning)_
Saturday & Sunday 14:30 to 22:00
- (30 hours per fortnight) _

**Position 3 - Environmental Services Assistant**:

- (Logistics Waste & linen removal including general cleaning)_
Roster to be confirmed
- (76 hours per fortnight + ADO)_

**A Day in the Life**:
Responsibilities can include but are not limited to:

- Environmental cubicle cleaning
- Cleaning of floors surfaces
- Waste segregation and removal / transport to man loading dock
- Linen removal and transport to the main linen loading dock for removal
- Cleaning of amenities

**On a personal Level, you have**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A commitment to delivering excellent customer service
- A strong commitment to working effectively as part of a team
- Pride in your work with great attention to detail
- Great time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks

**What you Need**:

- Certificate III Cleaning Services _(Desirable)_
- Able to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling
- A high standard of demonstrated experience in customer service and cleaning in a healthcare environment
- Ability to work with a cohesive team or individually to complete daily tasks
- Excellent understanding of infection control procedures
- Basic to intermediate computer/digital skills
- Current Victorian drivers licence _(Desirable)_
