**About the Role**:
Join our team as an Environmental Services Assistant (ESA) on a full time or part time basis to work at Monash Medical Centre based in Clayton

Being part of the Support Services team, and reporting to General Services Manager, ESAs are responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic, and safe hospital environment; not only for patients, but also for visitors and colleagues across Monash Health. Directly supporting patient recovery and staff safety, ESAs deliver high-quality environmental services across clinical and non-clinical areas.

**Key responsibilities include (but not limited to)**:

- Delivering general and detailed cleaning of theatres, wards, offices, and public areas
- Ensuring adherence to infection prevention and control protocols at all times
- Adhering to safety protocols when using cleaning chemicals and equipment in line with safety guidelines
- Managing waste removal and disposal procedures safely and responsibly
- Maintaining cleaning schedules and documentation
- Reporting maintenance or safety hazards promptly
- Complete relevant workplace training modules
- Distribution and collection of linen.

**Days**: Monday - Friday
**Hours**: 22:30-0700
**Total Hours per Fortnight**: 80 including ADO

**Position 2**: ESA - Emergency Department
**Days**: Friday Saturday Sunday
**Hours**: 14:30-23:00
**Total Hours per Fortnight**: 48

**Position 3**: ESA - Emergency Department
**Days**: Monday-Thursday
**Hours**: 14:30-23:00
**Total Hours per Fortnight**: 64

**Position 4**: ESA - IT department & office cleaning, waste disposal
**Days**: Monday - Friday
**Hours**: 0630-1500
**Total Hours per Fortnight**: 80 including ADO

**Position 5**: ESA - Consulting Suite Cleaning
**Days**: Monday - Friday
**Hours**: 0630-1500
**Total Hours per Fortnight**: 80 including ADO

**Position 6**: ESA - Laboratories, engineering & change room cleaning department
**Days**: Monday - Friday
**Hours**: 0630-1500
**Total Hours per Fortnight**: 80 including ADO

**Position 7**: ESA - Special medicine building
**Days**: Monday - Friday
**Hours**: 0630 - 1300

**Total Hours per Fortnight**: 60

**Position 8**: Public Areas & Amenities
**Days**: Monday - Friday
**Hours**: 0630-1500

**Total Hours per Fortnight**: 80 including ADO

**About You**:
To ensure your success in this role, you will bring experience in environmental services within a hospital or commercial cleaning setting with strong demonstrated knowledge of infection control and hygiene practices. You are a reliable and punctual team member with great verbal and written communication skills. Whether you’re work independently or as part of a team; you always follow manual handling, safety protocols, and procedural instructions.
