- Department:

- Field Operations

Are you ready to take your career to new heights? Roy Morgan, Australia's most renowned and trusted market and social research company, is offering you the opportunity to join our team as a Workforce Planner, ensuring the smooth delivery of some of Australia’s most important research projects.

This is not just another job - it’s a chance to shape the future of research operations, make a real impact on project success, and contribute to insights that help Australia understand itself better.

**Why Roy Morgan?**
We are not your average research company. With a legacy spanning over 80 years, we have earned an unparalleled reputation for accuracy, reliability, and meaningful insights. When you join Roy Morgan, you become part of a legacy that has helped leading organisations in the public and private sectors make better, more informed business decisions.

Our work matters, and as our Workforce Planner, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our projects are resourced and delivered successfully.

**What Makes This Role Special?**
As a Workforce Planner, you will be the central link between projects, people, and planning. Imagine being the person who ensures that hundreds of interviewers are in the right place at the right time, with the right availability to deliver on high-profile national research projects.

You’ll have a helicopter view across all projects, balancing demand and supply, forecasting needs months ahead, and solving resource gaps before they become roadblocks. This role is not just about spreadsheets and schedules—it’s about making the complex simple, giving clarity to managers, and enabling field teams to succeed.

Your planning will directly shape the success of our projects and ensure that Roy Morgan continues to deliver high-quality research to clients across Australia.

**Your Key Responsibilities**
- Maintain a current state view of interviewer availability and capacity (e.g. hours offered vs. hours utilised).
- Identify project-specific gaps and work with Recruitment to fill location/area requirements.
- Partner with Field Managers to allocate interviewers to projects and areas based on availability and skills.
- Lead weekly, monthly, and forward planning (4-week, 3-month, 6-month, 12-month outlooks).
- Provide a cross-project overlay of interviewer requirements to ensure resources are optimised.
- Track hours against demand and flag potential risks or shortfalls early.

**What You Bring**
- 3-5 years in workforce planning, scheduling, or WFM for large casual workforces (field research, contact centre, logistics, or similar).
- Demonstrated success managing hundreds of staff with variable availability.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills; familiarity with rostering platforms (Deputy, Kronos, Workday, etc.).
- Strong data interpretation and scenario-modelling skills.
- A confident communicator who influences without direct authority and thrives in a fast-moving, multi-project environment.
- A continuous-improvement mindset—able to spot inefficiencies and implement

**What’s In It For You?**
We believe in investing in our team members’ growth and well-being. When you join us, you can expect:

- **Career Progression**: As a high-performing individual, you will have excellent opportunities to advance in workforce planning or operations management.
- **Vibrant Work Culture**: Experience the energy and camaraderie of our close-knit team of established market research professionals. Collaboration and support are at the heart of our success.
- **Competitive Rewards**: Enjoy a competitive salary package plus corporate discounts on health insurance, MYKI passes, and entertainment events.
- **Meaningful Benefits**: Annual flu vaccine, funded Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and your family, and regular company social events, including Friday night drinks.
- **Diversity & Inclusion**: At Roy Morgan, we celebrate diversity in all its forms and welcome applicants from all backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

**Are You Ready to Make Your Mark?**
If you are a motivated, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused professional, this is your moment to shine. Take the leap and become part of a team that is driving change and pushing the boundaries of research.

Together, let’s shape the future of research and leave a lasting legacy.
