You will be the central link between projects, people, and operations - balancing long-term resource planning with the day-to-day realities of getting projects delivered on time. You will forecast and model demand months in advance, roll up your sleeves to solve resourcing challenges, adjust plans when priorities shift, and keep projects moving. Your work will directly shape the success of our projects and ensure Roy Morgan continues to deliver high-quality research to clients across Australia.
Your Key Responsibilities- Own and maintain a live view of workforce availability and capacity across all projects.
- Anticipate and resolve workforce gaps, working closely with Recruitment and Field Managers to ensure coverage in the right locations at the right times.
- Lead workforce planning cycles - from short-term forecasts through to quarterly and annual outlooks.
- Partner with Operations, Project Managers, and Field Leaders to align workforce supply with business priorities.
- Provide reporting, insights, and scenario modelling to guide operational and resourcing decisions.
- Actively drive process improvements, implementing smarter ways of working to optimise resources.
- Step in directly to resolve urgent resourcing or operational challenges - ensuring delivery is never compromised.
- 3-5 years in workforce planning, scheduling, or operations management for large casual workforces (field research, contact centre, logistics, or similar).
- Demonstrated ability to both design workforce plans and execute them personally at scale.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills; familiarity with workforce or planning systems (Deputy, Kronos, Workday, etc. experience valued).
- Strong data interpretation, forecasting, and scenario-modelling skills.
- Exceptional communication skills - able to influence stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and build strong working relationships across the business.
- A continuous-improvement mindset, with a track record of spotting inefficiencies and implementing practical operational solutions
- Career Progression: As a high-performing individual, you will have excellent opportunities to grow into senior workforce or operations leadership roles.
- Vibrant Work Culture: Experience the energy and camaraderie of our close-knit team of established market research professionals. Collaboration and support are at the heart of our success.
- Competitive Rewards: Enjoy a competitive salary package plus corporate discounts on health insurance, MYKI passes, and entertainment events.
- Meaningful Benefits: Annual flu vaccine, funded Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and your family, and regular company social events, including Friday night drinks.
- Diversity & Inclusion: At Roy Morgan, we celebrate diversity in all its forms and welcome applicants from all backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
