AEV is looking for an experienced **Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering Manager **to lead our talented team of mechanical and mechatronics engineers.

You will be an integral part of the engineering leadership team and provide technical direction to your engineering team, development and deploy best practices for execution, define and control project work scopes.

Drawing on you previous engineering management experience you will drive a culture of quality execution, innovative solutions, high performance and with a team focused approach.

The team you manage is just a part of a wider engineering team which is focused on delivering a verified, highly integrated Applied EV product which has demonstrated compliance to Applied EV’s system requirements and customer use cases.

Your strength will be an ability to mentor your engineering team considering robust design, manufacturability, tolerancing for operation and assembly. You will have a focus on the quality of 3D data management, standardised drawings and process for engineering releases.

**Requirements**:

- A Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing a team of engineers in a product development organisation.
- Proven track record of engineering release for proto-type manufacture and the involvement in product build events.
- Strong organisational and planning skills at an individual and team level.
- An ability to transpose customer level requirements into design criteria for execution.
- Detailed experience and understanding of prototype and low volume production manufacturing processes / techniques.
- Strong knowledge of Engineering Drawings, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances and 3D data management.
- Ability to identify weakness in process and execution models (within the direct team and/or wider organisation) and develop solutions for improvement.
- Capable of mentoring and managing direct reports to grow performance outcomes.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills.

Other Useful Experience:

- Cross functional knowledge across the disciplines of mechatronics, electronics and software.
- Experience with SolidWorks and TeamCenter X integration.
- Experience with standards of functional safety ISO26262, IEC61508 and/or ASIL
