Who are we looking for?*
Are you a sports nut? Do you know digital media inside-out? Are you good at creating and publishing engaging content that will work on different platforms? We are looking for a Social Media Manager with at least two years of experience in a related role to come to Engage and make an instant impact.
You will be responsible for formulating digital strategies and overseeing their implementation from Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok and YouTube. An added bonus if you’re on the look-out for emerging platforms such as Discord and Twitch.
This role requires an in-depth understanding of how our clients can best use social media and content to drive their individual KPIs - whether it be brand awareness, increasing participation, or selling tickets and subscriptions. You will need a combination of strong social media knowledge, awareness of how to drive online engagement, and attention to detail and responsiveness.
Your all-round sports knowledge, passion and the ability to create entertaining content for sports fans will be essential - be it for a cricket, AFL, rugby or soccer audience.

Main duties & responsibilities: *
- Plan social media content and maintaining the content calendar ensuring social media content is regular, relevant and engaging
- Publish content and work with partners to look for cross-posting/sharing opportunities (IG collabs etc)
- Copywriting and posting using social media management tools
- Engage with fans and followers to build relationships with the community and encourage engagement
- Contribute to creative ideas for video content as part of output strategy
- Monitor project KPIs, working closely with the insights team
- Monitor the success of the community and of social media in terms of the overall marketing strategy
**Skills & Experience**:
- Excellent in-depth understanding of all relevant social media platforms - YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok
- Strong knowledge and experience of digital publishing software and techniques.
- Strong copywriting skills including excellent spelling and grammar, as well as writing techniques to capture particular audiences
- Ongoing awareness and interest in trends across social media, digital publishing, online video and sports output internationally
- Experience of social media strategy, KPIs and goals to increase a digital audience and engagement
- Knowledge and love of multiple sports is a must
- Excellent communication skills, including experience in a client-facing role
- Superb organisational skills, with experience of using project management tools such as Wrike, Asana, Trello, G-Suite and Slack
- Basic Adobe Photoshop and Premiere skills desirable but not essential
**General**:
- Work flexible days, according to the appropriate sports-related calendar (some weekend work may be required)
- Able to perform under pressure and to work to tight timescales
- Be a good communicator with strong relationship management skills
- Salary dependent on experience
