Our network provides the ability to meet the specific demands of various market segments with an extensive range of grain-fed and pasture-fed products.

**About the Role**:
The JBS Beef City Feedlot is part of the integrated Beef City facility consisting of farming, feedlot and processing operations. Ideally located in the prime grain and cattle producing region of the Darling Downs, 35 kms west of Toowoomba the 26,500 head capacity feedlot has a strong reputation for producing high quality grain fed beef for key domestic and international customers, and employes approximately 50 team members. We are currently offering passionate cattle handlers the opportunity to further develop their cattle handling, livestock diagnosis & treatment skills within our Feedlot.

**Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to)**:

- Daily livestock handling including moving cattle from receival pens through the Induction process and into home pens.
- Drafting cattle.
- Follow documentation to ensure correct numbers of cattle are being inducted.
- Maintain accurate records of cattle movements.
- Count cattle to ensure accurate numbers are recorded.
- Ensure water troughs are cleaned twice a week and that cattle have access to water at all times.
- Follow procedures to ensure meet QA compliance.
- Ensure compliance with OH&S, Animal Welfare and
- Environmental regulations.

**About You**:

- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must be methodical and efficient in regards to cattle movements and have good organisational skills.
- Must display a willingness and ability to learn new skills.
- Must be committed to animal welfare.

**Requirements**:

- Must be motivated and have a desire to ensure cattle health is a priority.
- Must be able to work a 10 hour day 4 days a week.
- Must be a team player and have the ability to follow instruction.
- Must be prepared to work additional hours if required based on workload.
