About the OPPORTUNITY
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join us as an Operations Coordinator to work within our Maritime Sustainment line of business based at our Henderson shipyard in WA. The Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting and working collaboratively with all levels of the Operations Management, Production Management Capability and Manufacturing Engineering teams.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Assistance with the support of daily, weekly and monthly tasks
- Assist with coordination of internal reviews, meetings and tasks including preparation of agendas, taking minutes, recording actions into the action tracker and distribution of meeting documentation
- De-conflicting critical tasks and or site movements whilst engaging with stakeholders and utilising software tools
- Key focal point for integrated planning process and issue across the shipyard
- Coordinate shipyard maintenance and management of business partners and suppliers
- Assist in the development and maintenance of an Operations wide overview presentation and on-boarding pack, work instructions, and checklists
- Contribute to the coordination and compilation of weekly and monthly reports that are used internally and externally for a range of stakeholders
- Coordination of on-boarding of Employees, business partners and suppliers
- Reconciliation and metrics on current and planned resources
- Assist the Operations team in booking domestic and international travel, including flights, accommodation and car hire
- Reconciling resource profiles to HR data, working closely with Operations team

About YOU

**You'll have**:

- Ability to contribute in a team environment, providing support to meet deliverables and adding value in a collaborative environment
- Demonstrated high level of attention to detail and organisational and time management skills to manage multiple competing priorities under broad direction, within tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Motivated self-starter with excellent time management skills
- Organisational and problem-solving skills
- An ability to work and liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to negotiate with and influence internal and/or external stakeholders in a way which generates business benefit whilst maintaining key relationships
- Ability to create outcomes from discussions across a wide spectrum of skill, background and viewpoints
- Well-developed ability to embrace change, learn new technologies and work under pressure
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Computer literacy with advanced knowledge of MS Suite along with SharePoint & Oracle (desirable)
