Clinical Midwifery Specialist

**About the Role**

Our beautiful newly renovated maternity unit consists of 40 beds and 7 birth suites. We are seeking a Clinical Midwifery Specialist join our supportive and expert **Birth Suite** **or Post Natal** team to continue to provide our patients with specialised and dedicated care. You will be responsible for will assessing, planning, coordinating and evaluating the care delivery needs of each patient’s individual needs.

You will report to the Midwifery Unit Manager and work alongside a supportive team of nurses, medical professionals, and clinical support staff.

**About You**
- Relevant Midwifery Qualification and APHRA Registration
- Recent Midwifery experience
- Strong organisational skills
- Demonstrated risk management and OH&S
- Ability to review and implement continuous improvement programs
- Ability to work a 7-day rotating roster
- Minimum of 4 years post registration experience
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills and ability to manage complex clinical care and service delivery issues and problem solve through the development and use of clinical management plans.
- High level written and verbal communication
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as
- required
- Understanding of scope of practice
- Ability to manage designated portfolio and display sound leadership skills
- Demonstrated knowledge/experience in accreditation processes, clinical
- indicators and other quality projects

**Remuneration**

**$49.55** + superannuation, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (NSW Clinical Nurse/Midwifery Specialist)[FTE $97 910.80]

**Requirements**:
