**The role**

This is an outstanding time to join GPT in a new, senior position as the **Head of External Communications**, developing and implementing an External Communications Strategy that aligns with our new Corporate Strategy, at a pivotal moment in the company’s growth and evolution.

This is a broad, hands-on role responsible for shaping and delivering the company's external communications including media and public relations, digital channels, contributing to ASX announcements, crisis communications, elevating executive presence, communications governance and media reporting and analysis.

**What you will be doing**
- Developing and implementing an External Communications Strategy that aligns with the company’s corporate strategy and business goals.
- Managing GPT’s external media to enhance the company’s brand and reputation, building engagement and ensuring understanding of GPT’s strategy and performance.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to prepare and communicate company news, updates, and milestones effectively; as well as contributing to the creation and release of ASX announcements.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for external communications and public relations enquiries, proactively building strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including investors, analysts, media, journalists and industry bodies.
- Leading the development and execution of crisis communication strategies.
- Monitoring and analysing media coverage, public sentiment, and communication effectiveness.Reviewing current governance framework around corporate communications to determine effectiveness, and uplift as appropriate to mitigate risk to GPT.**What makes you stand out**

This key role requires a pragmatic and strategic thinker with a deep understanding of communications, media relations, and corporate affairs.

You will be tertiary qualified with a minimum of 10 years’ related experience in a senior external communications or media position within **an ASX listed environment** and exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and engaging messages for a variety of audiences.

We are seeking a pragmatic, hands-on professional who has strong connections with journalists and other media contacts, and can build relationships with other key stakeholders including analysts and investors.
