**About the role**

This is an exciting new position in the Digital Health Team supporting and increasing our digital maturity across the Grampians Region to support clinical care. The Project Lead, Cancer Services Specialist eReferral Program will be employed by the Grampians Rural Health ICT Alliance to oversee a proof of concept for eReferral program across the Grampians Health Region. The Project Lead is responsible for working closely with the Director Digital Health Applications and other key stakeholders, to identify, define, scope and implement work that will:

- Engage an eReferral vendor to develop cancer services specialist templates that align with the referral criteria developed by the Cancer Council’s Optimal Care Pathways.
- Embedding the use of eReferral for making referral requests to specialist cancer services in Victorian public health services (VPHS) within Grampian Region Health Service Partnership catchment.
- Coordination of required change management and communication to inform primary care and acute sector about the use of eReferral.
- Align activity with Victoria’s Digital Health Roadmap and complement initiative 3.4 Safer Transfers of Care program of work and State-wide Referral Criteria program.

To be successful in this role, you will be a high performing team member with strong analytical, problem solving, project management and communication skills. You may offer specialist skills in either health system data, stakeholder consultation or program implementation. The role will engage with a range of stakeholders across health services and the Department of Health. You will work closely with the stakeholders to identify problems, analyse qualitative and quantitative inputs, and develop options and creative, implementable solutions to enable the pilot to achieve its objectives.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage and oversee the full life cycle of project work streams
- Provide leadership, guidance and authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders and prepare and present detailed, comprehensive project reports.
- Pro-actively build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
- Develop and implement necessary change management strategies required to support health services with effective data collection and submission.
- Support and report to Project Control Group/s which will be established

**Skills and experience**
- A tertiary qualification in fields related to health information management, health administration or project management would be highly desirable.
- Current knowledge in clinical information systems, health information systems would be highly desirable
- A full driver's licence is required due to the need to attend health services across the Grampians region as required.
