**Part-time Fixed Term Contract (0.6 FTE) until 30 June 2027**:

- **Band 6 Salary from $44.95 - $49.88 per hour plus superannuation**

The Free from Violence Project Officer role is an exciting opportunity, responsible for implementing a whole of Council's approach to the prevention of family violence and all forms of violence against women. Reporting to the Health and Social Planning Coordinator, you will be a key member of the Health and Social Planning team. The Free From Violence Project Officer will engage with key stakeholders across Council to embed a gender lens across all areas of service delivery. You will also work in partnership with external stakeholders to develop, co-design and deliver evidence-informed initiatives to promote gender equity and the prevention of gender-based violence, tailored to meet the needs of the Ballarat community.

**To be successful in this role you will have the following**:

- Tertiary qualification in gender studies, health promotion, public health, community development or related discipline, with relevant experience working in a similar role.
- Understanding of best practice approaches to gender equity and the prevention of violence against women.
- High level awareness and understanding of socio-economic and political context of social issues impacting upon a diverse, growing community.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships, including the ability to gain buy in, with internal and external stakeholders across a broad range of sectors.
