The Electromagnetic Warfare Intelligence Maritime Systems Program Office (EWIS-Maritime SPO) is seeking a highly motivated APS 4 Configuration Officer.

As the APS 4 Configuration Officer you will provide configuration knowledge to support technical and engineering activities and ensure quality and compliance with appropriate technical delegations commensurate with relevant legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks. Engage with stakeholders, investigate, report, develop, evaluate, advise and implement policies, processes, procedures, practice and manage resources specific to assurance and data specifications to support Defence capability.

Within the Configuration Management sub-function an APS 4 Configuration Officer - Configuration Management is accountable under routine direction to perform and achieve straightforward technical configuration work within an integrated workforce. They are accountable to have a good understanding of and compliance to relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements.

The right person for this role will show the flexibility to respond to the changing context and shifting priorities of the Defence environment to achieve business outcomes. **About our Team**
EWIS-Maritime SPO currently manages a number of electronic warfare systems fitted to both the surface and sub-surface fleet, such as the Nulka Decoy product and various Sensors and Electronic Attack products in both acquisition and sustainment phases. The SPO delivers these capabilities to both the Australian Defence Force and United States Navy. EWIS-Maritime SPO is widely dispersed across Australia with this position based at Russell, ACT.

The successful applicant will participate in an integrated team, including APS, military and contractor staff, to ensure the supported Electronic Warfare capabilities are delivered to the ADF and supported in accordance with policy and compliance requirements, and agreements. The APS 4 Configuration Office role offers an enthusiastic individual an exciting opportunity to learn and increase configuration management skills in a Defence environment.
- Demonstrated experience in configuration management;
- The ability to perform straightforward configuration activities and associated tasks working to agreed priority and outcomes;
- The ability to conduct investigations and contribute to the development of technical documentation for review;
- Demonstrated organisational and administration skills, self-drive and initiative with excellent interpersonal skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with good attention to detail;
- The ability to contribute to the development of plans and processes to enhance the achievement of business outcomes;
- Respond flexibly to changing situations, including using sound judgement under pressure with the ability to prioritise work to ensure the success of key deliverables; and
- An enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn.
