**The Role**
The Configuration Officer APS 5 is accountable under broad direction to achieve straightforward technical and non-technical configuration work within an integrated workforce.

As Configuration Controller, your key responsibilities will include:

- Providing data administrative support and configuration knowledge to support non-technical and technical engineering activities.
- Organising your workflow, making decisions within defined parameters relating to individuals area of responsibility and seeking guidance when required.
- Providing specialist or data administrative support that is informed and directed by your knowledge of the configuration management sub-function.
- Ensuring quality and compliance with appropriate technical delegations commensurate with relevant legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks.
- The requirement to communicate with, respond and provide advice to a range of stakeholders on straightforward operational and administrative issues to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes.
- Accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.

**About our Team**
The Hunter Class Frigate (HCF) will be one of the most advanced warships in the world with cutting edge technology and capabilities. As Australia’s largest shipbuilding project, HCF provides the foundation for Continuous Naval Shipbuilding in Australia.

We are working with experts from the UK, USA, Canada and Europe to provide six frigates optimised for anti-submarine warfare to the Royal Australian Navy. The frigates are being constructed at the Osborne Naval Shipyard, South Australia utilising the latest production technologies.

You will have access to generous working conditions as an Australian Public Servant in Defence. You will be supported in balancing work life with family and other priorities, with a variety of flexible working arrangements available. Information on Defence employees’ working conditions, including an attractive remuneration package with a generous superannuation contribution (15.4%), can be sourced from the Defence Enterprise Agreement.

HCF is seeking a Configuration Controller with Configuration Management experience. They will be accountable for contributing towards understanding the needs of our varied customers and stakeholders and producing results according to their requirements.
