**The Role**
The Electromagnetic Warfare Intelligence Systems (EWIS) Branch Security is seeking a professional and motivated APS 5 Security Policy Officer to join the team in Russell, ACT. As the APS 5 Security Policy Officer, you will be part of the business unit that provides effective security support and advice to all EWIS Special Program Offices. With limited direction, you will be expected to engage with stakeholders to maintain a positive security culture.

Additionally, you will support the development and maintenance of security policies, processes, and procedures within the EWIS branch. As the Branch Security Policy Officer, you will provide accurate and timely security assistance and advice to all members of the EWIS Branch.

This role focuses on governance and compliance, necessitating high-level stakeholder engagement skills and collaboration with the branch to complete complex projects and security requirements. Please note that this is not an operational or guarding security opportunity.

**About our Team**
EWIS Branch Security supports a number of program offices that cover Land, Maritime, Joint & Air, and Sensor Array capability and sustainment activities. The EWIS Security Policy Officer position is based at Russell, ACT, However you will be supporting offices located throughout Australia. The successful applicant will participate in an integrated team, including APS, military and contractor staff, to ensure the ongoing compliance with all security governance and policies.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:

- Knowledge of, and ability to, provide security incident management responses that is in accordance with the Defence Security Policy Framework (DSPF).
- Experience in the security environment, with the ability to development plans and processes to enhance the achievement of business outcomes.
- Strong organisational skills, self-drive and initiative with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability influence and negotiate with stakeholders at various levels.
- The ability to set work priorities, manage workflows, build and sustain productive and collaborative relationships, ensuring your team remains informed.
- The ability to respond to changing situations with flexibility.
- Uses sound judgement under pressure with the ability to prioritise work to ensure the success of key deliverables.
