Health and Safety Advisor

Global Water, Waste and Energy business, is looking for Health & Safety Advisor to join their team
As Health and Safety Advisor you will provide health and safety compliance advice to operational management support personnel to achieve safety excellence. In this key role you will utilise audits, employee engagement, targeted training, investigation and continuous improvement initiatives to maximise company safety performance.
What you'll be responsible for
- Ensure that the impact of any changes to legislation, regulations, codes of practice or standards related to the Line of Business is communicated and understood
- Conduct inspections and audits in accordance with the internal audit schedule and assist with third party audits
- Support and assist operational managers in the development and maintenance of site / project SHEQ management plans and related documentation
- Implement defined strategies in injury prevention and wellbeing programs in collaboration with the Injury Prevention and Health team.
To be successful for this role you will need
- Formal qualification in OH&S or extensive industry experience in a similar OH&S position
- Implementing safety systems
- Working knowledge and understanding of all relevant Safety legislation
- Drivers Licence and own vehicle
- Auditing qualification and experience
- Certificate IV in workplace training and assessing would be desirable.
