The Role

JK are seeking a proactive Safety Advisor to ensure compliance across a Ballarat Mining site. This role will see you working closely with contractors to maintain a safe working environment and supporting investigations where required. You'll be a visible presence on site, engaging with crews and fostering a strong safety culture.

While this role requires civil construction experience, it also offers a rare opportunity to transition into the mining industry. Once the civil side is in hand, you will get the chance to gain underground experience.

Duties:

  • Onsite Contractor oversight and engagement
  • Auditing and compliance monitoring
  • Implementing and monitoring traffic management plans
  • Conducting safety investigations

About you:

  • Experienced in civil construction projects
  • Safety Qualifications (Cert IV or Advanced Diploma in WHS)
  • Auditing qualifications or practical auditing experience
  • Proven ability to conduct independent investigations
  • Strong communicator with the confidence to engage across all levels

Please Note: All applicants will be required to participate in a drug and alcohol test and physical assessment to be successful in this role.
