The purpose of the role is to support the delivery of risk intelligence that enables better business decision making. Your blend of analytical, technical skills and risk experience will support the creation of evidence-based reporting with actionable risk insights.

Key Responsibilities
- Undertake high quality first line of defence risk reporting analysis and insights that reveal the systems view of the Direct Insurance Australia’s risk environment
- Contribute to the creation of automated risk reporting tools and processes that enable proactive risk management across Direct Insurance Australia and its business units
- Conduct analysis to identify risk insights with structured and unstructured data and produce executive divisional risk reporting
- Support the delivery of ad hoc risk environment analysis and insights to the Executive Manager, Operational Risk as required
- Support the Lead, Risk Intelligence Insights, to uplift risk reporting capability and proactively identify stakeholder needs for risk insight and intelligence, across the wider Operational Risk team
- Build and maintain mutually supportive, consistent and collaborative relationships with other teams, relevant stakeholders and peers across Direct Insurance Australia and the Group

Skills & Experience
- 2+ years’ experience using analytical skills to provide business insights and actionable recommendations
- 2+ years’ demonstration of strong business acumen in a corporate culture
- Ability to work with structured and unstructured data to produce insights
- Ability to cope with pressure and prioritise workload to meet timeframes
- Strong ability to develop relationships, work effectively with others, and consider needs and potential contributions of others
- Tertiary qualification/s in Intelligence, Business, Economics, Statistics / Analytics, Finance, Actuarial Science, or related field
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
