
Intelligence Analyst

**The Intelligence Analyst will**:
- Maintain and comply with the unit's Intelligence Collection Plan.
- Collect, evaluate and develop information obtained from various sources.
- Review, evaluate and action Information Notes.
- Review visual and audio recordings (including the Prisoner Telephone System).
- Encourage and foster prompt intelligence related reporting from staff.
- Adhere with intelligence related procedures and guidelines.
- Identify targets, risks and emerging trends relevant to the Agency and offender management.
- Undertake qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Review databases and QCS indices.
- Develop sound operational and tactical hypotheses.
- Generate intelligence reports, profiles, bulletins and assessments as required.
- Provide verbal and written intelligence products to QCS management and stakeholders.
- Participate in meetings with QCS and external stakeholders (including the Queensland Police Service).
- Develop and deliver intelligence related training.
- Provide timely advice on risks and emerging trends to Agency personnel and relevant external stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and stakeholders.
- Participate in team meetings and activities within the unit.
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of records and information.
- Comply with legislation and Agency policy and procedures including the Code of Conduct.
Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications for this position, nationally recognised training or tertiary qualifications in a relevant field would be highly desirable.
Travel may be a requirement for this position, therefore the possession of a valid C class licence is required.
