**In Home Child Care Educator - Highland Park, Gold Coast**

**Hourly Rate: $41.00**

**Location: Highland Park, QLD**

**Days: 2 days per week (7:00am - 5:00pm)**

**We are seeking a compassionate and experienced educator to support a delightful 26-month-old child complex needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with a family in a calm, nurturing home environment, supporting the child’s development through play and care routines.**

**About the Role**

**-**Care is required two days per week, 7:00am - 5:00pm*

**-**The child is mobile and weighs approximately 14kg - some lifting is required for nappy changes and general care*

**-**The mother works from home as she launches a new business - a calm, respectful, and supportive approach is essential*

**-**The home is welcoming and includes two friendly indoor cavoodles*

**-**Playing age-appropriate children’s music during care is encouraged*

**Educator Responsibilities**

**-**Provide responsive, developmentally appropriate care in a home-based setting*

**-**Assist with personal care tasks, including nappy changes and hygiene*

**-**Create a calm, engaging, and structured daily rhythm to support learning and well-being*

**-**Engage the child in sensory play, music, and simple routines that align with therapy goals*

**-**Communicate effectively with the parent to ensure continuity of care*

**-**Be observant, proactive, and nurturing in responding to the child’s needs*

**Essential Criteria**

**Applicants must meet all of the following**:
**-**Certificate III or higher in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA-approved)*

**-**Current First Aid and CPR (specific to early childhood settings)*

**-**Blue Card - Working with Children Check (QLD)*

**-**National Police Clearance (issued within the last 6 months)*

**-**Public Liability Insurance (can be arranged post-placement)*

**-**Medical Clearance confirming fitness to work with children*

**-**Completed Child Protection Training (within the last 2 years)*

**-**ABN (This is a contractor/self-employed position)*

**-**Valid Photo ID*

**-**PRODA RA Number (support available if needed)*

**-**Aged 18 years or over*

**-**Demonstrated experience working with young children, particularly with additional or complex needs*

**-**Calm, respectful, and emotionally responsive caregiving style*

**-**Comfortable with lifting and working in a home with indoor pets*

**-**Commitment to child safety and child-safe practices*
