Highland Park, Australia NORTHERN RIVERS IN HOME CARE Full time

**Position**: In-Home Care Educator
**Location**: Highland Park
**Children**: 9-month-old twins (born premature)
**Days/Hours**: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday | 8:30 am - 2:30 pm $40.00 per hour

**Role Overview**:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced In-Home Care Educator to provide high-quality, nurturing care for 9-month-old twins born premature. This role requires understanding the unique needs of preterm infants, including feeding, developmental support, and safe sleep practices. The educator will work closely with the family to provide a consistent, stimulating, and safe environment for the children’s growth and wellbeing.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide attentive, age-appropriate care for twins, including feeding, nappy changes, sleep routines, and developmental activities.
- Implement safe sleep practices and adhere to SIDS/SUDI risk reduction guidelines.
- Support the children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs through structured and unstructured play.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free environment, following daily safety checks
- Document observations, routines, and milestones to inform ongoing care and communication with the family and Northern Rivers In Home Care.
- Collaborate with the family and support workers, if applicable, to ensure consistent care.
- Follow all Northern Rivers In Home Care policies, including child safe environment, first aid, emergency procedures, and infection control.

**Desirable**:

- Experience in In-Home Care

**Qualifications**:

- **Minimum Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care**ACECQA approved Certified by a JP
- **Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)**:

- **First Aid and CPR Certification**:

- **Experience working with multiple children in a home environment**:

- **Full driver’s license and comfortable driving the family car**:

- **Flexibility to work varying days and shifts based on the family’s roster**:

- **Excellent communication and problem-solving skills**:

- **Ability to establish strong relationships with children and families**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Providing safe, nurturing, and engaging care for the children
- Assisting with school drop-offs and pick-ups
- Engaging the children in educational and age-appropriate activities
- Assisting with homework
- Ensuring a calm and supportive environment, especially during morning and evening routines

- HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (required)
