We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader Park Assets to join our passionate Environmental Sustainability & Open Spaces team. If you are ready to lead with integrity and purpose, we invite you to help us maintain safe, functional, and vibrant public spaces for everyone to enjoy.
About the Role
This is an exciting leadership opportunity focused on the maintenance and improvement of Council’s playgrounds and park infrastructure. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our open space assets are safe, accessible, and maintained to the highest standards. Based in Kew and working across the municipality, you’ll manage both internal staff and contractors, deliver proactive maintenance programs, and play a key role in asset renewal and service delivery improvements.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll provide hands-on leadership to the Parks Assets area, ensuring maintenance issues are identified and resolved efficiently. You will manage the workflow of internal resources and external contractors while overseeing safety compliance and maintenance to Australian Standards. You’ll also be responsible for managing the area’s budget, raising purchase orders, and ensuring equipment and materials are readily available. Your strong customer focus will help you manage service requests effectively and your collaborative mindset will contribute to cross-departmental capital works programs.
