**About the role**:
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our sanctuary Cleaning Service team on a casual basis for up to 38 hours per week, on a casual basis.

We would like to welcome someone who is enthusiastic about coming to work everyday and it is crucial that our new team member will take genuine pride in their role and duties.

The key role of the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary Cleaning team is to provide the visitors and staff at Lone Pine with clean and presentable facilities and grounds. This department is fundamental to the ongoing success of Lone Pine and is the forefront of helping our customers have a pleasant and enjoyable day.

The position of cleaner reports directly to the Cleaning Supervisor and Assistant Curator.

The sanctuary is open 7 days a week, therefore it is crucial that our cleaning services team members are available every day, including weekends and public holidays. We create rotational rosters to ensure fairness in the cleaning team.

Experience in the Tourism sector would be beneficial, however not essential.

**Cleaning role responsibilities**:

- Maintaining cleaning around entire park in line with our Cleaning SOPs
- Cleaning of toilet facilities throughout Sanctuary
- Cleaning of multiple office and staff buildings
- Emptying and cleaning of rubbish bins throughout Sanctuary
- Ensuring the Sanctuary grounds, including the car park area is free of rubbish and is presentable at all times
- General cleaning and maintenance of common areas around park
- Daily path and grounds leaf blowing
- Maintaining all cleaning equipment in working order
- Ensuring that stock at all areas is at appropriate levels everyday
- Advising the Cleaning Supervisor when/if stock is low
- Cleaning septic tanks when and if required
- Reporting any damage to any fixtures or equipment to, Cleaning Supervisor, Maintenance and Assistant Curator immediately
- Any other duties that may be required from time to time

**Qualifications, skills and requirements**:

- Possession of strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Hold a valid, Open driver’s license.
- Hep A and Hep B vaccinations
- Experience using chemicals and adhering to safety standards
- Proven experience following schedules and standard operating procedures
- Possession of a ‘Can Do’ attitude
- Strong time-management skills
- Work well both as part of a team and autonomously
- Being fit, healthy and able to life weights up to 20kg.
- Able to work weekends and public holidays
- Adhering to the CATER Core Values, Code of Conduct, Policies and Procedures
