Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary has been a home for sick, injured, and orphaned koalas since 1927. Today, we welcome guests from all over the world to connect with native Australian wildlife in a peaceful, riverside setting just 15 minutes from Brisbane CBD.

About the Role:

We're looking for a reliable and energetic Cleaning Officer to join our team on a casual basis, up to 38 hours per week. You'll help ensure our park is clean, safe, and welcoming for guests and staff.

This role is hands-on and involves indoor and outdoor cleaning tasks across the sanctuary, including public areas, toilets, bins, staff offices, and paths. You'll work as part of a close-knit team and take pride in keeping the sanctuary looking its best every day.

You must be available to work weekends and public holidays (we use rotating rosters for fairness).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning bathrooms, staff areas, and public spaces
  • Removing rubbish and leaf-blowing paths and grounds
  • Maintaining cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Reporting maintenance issues
  • Following cleaning checklists and safety procedures

About You:

  • A team player with a strong work ethic
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 20kg
  • Good attention to detail and time management
  • Positive "can-do" attitude
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Hep A and Hep B vaccinations (ideal)
  • Experience in cleaning or tourism is great but not essential
