**The Role**

To assist in managing the day-to-day purchasing requirements and management of stock in delivering the objectives and Key Performance Indicators set by the business.

**Key Responsibilities**
- To assist in managing day-to-day purchasing requirements and resolving any supply issues in meeting the needs of the business;
- Maintain accuracy in the replenishment process, verifying stock quantities and addressing any discrepancies.
- Contribute to the Sales and Operations teams by presenting supply & demand data to internal & external stakeholders
- To run and maintain stock reports ensuring stock for production and distribution is up to date with scheduled requirements.
- To ensure that agreed company policies and business processes are in place and adhered to;
- To ensure that the Procurement function operates within applicable legislative requirements such as safety, quality, environment, human resource management.
- To develop and maintain key relationships with peers, sales functions, head office functions, current and potential suppliers.

**Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications**
- Minimum 3 years experience in a stock control role ideally FMCG.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple products and maintain efficient documentation.
- Problem-solving orientation to resolve supply chain challenges.
- An appreciation of consumer protection legal requirements especially as they relate to perishable food products and associated regulatory arrangements in the food industry.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation and negotiation skills.
- Well-developed logical and lateral thinking skills with a capacity for innovation.
