**About the role**
The Supplier Scheduler and Planning Specialist will plan and follow up to ensure delivery to supplier schedules. You will engage in expediting and the improvement of material availability. You will identify and solve problems to ensure materials are ordered and supplied to MRP requirements, while maintaining acceptable inventory levels.
**Key Responsibilities**
Manage the supply of raw materials per MRP requirements, for domestic and overseas suppliers.
- Coordinate among purchasing, suppliers, production and engineering to resolve supply issues
- Perform materials availability simulations and Identify supply gaps/shortage, escalate problems as appropriate.
- Determine material and component requirements based on the MRP system and ensure availability to support production schedules.
- Review and adjust Kanban levels according to MRP reports, ensuring appropriate inventory management practices and cost-effective operations.
- Create and maintain MRP order policies in addition to reviewing BOM accuracy to ensure correct component identification, ordering and release.
- Maintain and setup supplier pull systems (KANBAN).
- Key team member in planning, implementation, and support of a new ERP system.
- Create and maintain logistics support programs and identify and resolve supply problems.
**About you**
You are knowledgeable when it comes to electromechanical manufacturing and planning processes. You have strong attention to detail and you are an analytical thinker and problem solver. You also possess the following skillset:
- Knowledge with MRP/ERP Systems such as NetSuite, SAP, ORACLE etc.
- Experienced in maintaining or improving customer service whilst optimising inventory levels stock availability
- Good understanding of inventory management concepts & processes.
- Excellent communication, work collaboratively, build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
**Qualifications**
- Minimum, 5-7 years of planning experience in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
