**Your Key Accountabilities will include**:

- Undertake policy research and analysis and provide high quality, well researched advice on policy issues to the Cabinet Legislation and Liaison Office. Prepare briefings, submissions, answers to questions on notice and correspondence on policy-related issues affecting the Queensland Police Service or the Queensland criminal justice system. Contribute to the development, implementation, evaluation, review and continued improvement of legislation and policy frameworks. Investigate and assess the impact of major internal and external policy changes likely to affect the Queensland Police Service. Liaise and negotiate with agencies whose policies or practices may affect the Queensland Police Service in order to ensure that the impact of any new policy proposal is given full consideration. Provide advice concerning Cabinet, Executive Council and Parliamentary documentation and procedures. Effectively liaise and consult with the Minister's Office staff and Queensland Police Service stakeholders.

(NOTE - There are no mandatory requirements for this role. However, knowledge of Cabinet, Parliamentary, Executive Council and machinery of Government process will be favourably considered.)
