Policy Officer

You will support the State Domestic, Family Violence and Vulnerable Persons Unit through researching, analysing, and providing advice on policy and practice in relation to policing issues and initiatives contributing to the continual improvement of service delivery in the area of Domestic and Family Violence.
**The core capability requirements for this role are**:
- Research emerging domestic and family violence and vulnerable persons trends and issues and develop prevention strategies to implementation stage.
- Support the review of Domestic, Family Violence and Vulnerable Persons Command programs by developing evaluation plans and assisting their implementation.
- Provide advice and information to the senior management, related to evaluation, research and analysis on issues, policy and practice relating to domestic and family violence and vulnerable persons.
- Provide support to senior officers in Domestic, Family Violence and Vulnerable Persons Command when representing the Service on issues relating to domestic and family violence and vulnerable persons.
- Liaise and negotiate with agencies whose domestic and family violence and vulnerable persons policies or practices affect the Queensland Police Service, to ensure that their impact on the Service is given full consideration.
- Prepare submissions, options and recommendations on the development of domestic and family violence and vulnerable persons policy.
- Represent the Queensland Police Service on national or State committees and other forums.
