**Your new company**
An opportunity has arisen for a Lawyer to join a state based law firm who has regional offices across Queensland. You will be able to choose your home office base but know you will be thoroughly supported and mentored at which ever site you select by a Senior Lawyer into the role of Planning and Environment Solicitor. This is a development role, ideally seeking a Lawyer around the 1-3 years PQE mark.

It is not an essential requirement to have practiced in Planning and Environment law before, but some legal practice experience across Commercial or Property Law etc will be helpful.

**Your new role**
Working as part of a well-respected firm, you will be part of a close knit team and you will be closely mentored by Senior Practitioners who are well respected in their field. This firm is shaped by its people and culture and offers a unique identity that clients love.

In this role you will be steadily developed to undertake negotiating agreements for coal seam gas, mining and exploration activities, you will providing advice about matters under the Water Act including representation in the Land Court and assistance with “Make Good” Agreements. You will be reviewing and advising on rural lease agreements and other related matters; as well as get involved in renewable energy negotiations and carbon abatement.

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role, you must be an Australian admitted Lawyer with some practicing experience and strong communication skills.
