Melbourne based firm is planning to expand into Brisbane and needs the expertise of a Senior Solicitor with broad experience to take the mantle and help set up the office.
**The role has the flexibility for WFH,**

**Conditions for Success**:

- Minimum 5 Years PQE practising as an Australian Solicitor
- Proficient with **SMOKEBALL Legal Software**:

- Experience with a broad range of law areas, in specific: Family, Maritime and Criminal Law, as well as Civil Litigation and Wills & Probate.
- Excellent communication skills - Confident approach and ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels and relevant third parties
- Experience in Business Development & readily ability to manage client expectations
- Motivated to provide excellent client service
- Ability to prioritise and manage many files and project deadlines simultaneously.
- Adept commercial acumen and disposition - proactive, innovative and outcome-focused approach

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Liaise with clients, solicitors and barristers, along with Melbourne office staff to help grow the Brisbane branch.
- Minimum 5 billable hours per day
- Estate planning including Powers of Attorney and Appointments of Enduring Guardianship
- Willing to occasionally travel interstate to help build the practice (travel costs paid for)
- Attend networking events to represent the new branch
- Prepare court documents, correspondence, and briefs to barristers
- Arrange meetings and manage your case files with attention to detail
- Handle matters from start to finish autonomously
- Draft other legal documents such as complex Wills with Testamentary Trusts
- Establish and maintain client relationships and expectations through regular and effective communication.
- Liaising with Psychological counsellors in the team
