About the role Are you a dedicated and highly motivated Solicitor seeking a fresh start in 2026? Join our dynamic Kemps Petersons Legal team in Brisbane CBD. This is a full-time permanent position where you'll report directly to the Senior Solicitor/Team Leader. You will manage a variety of legal matters across multiple jurisdictions, specialising in debt recovery, strata recoveries, insolvency, commercial, and civil litigation. Objectives - Assist in the drafting, reviewing, and editing of legal documents including contracts, agreements, and legal correspondence, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal standards. - Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support senior solicitors and provide accurate advice and guidance to clients. - Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, effectively communicating legal advice and providing timely updates on case progress. - Assist in the management of cases, including organising and maintaining case files, preparing court documents, and coordinating with external parties such as courts, opposing counsel and experts. - Ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards by conducting thorough legal, staying up to date with changes in legislation and providing recommendations to ensure compliance in client matters. About you - Ideally you will have 3 years’ post-admission experience and a current unrestricted practice certificate, preferably with experience in debt recovery, strata recoveries, insolvency, commercial and civil litigation. - Proven experience managing your own litigation files. - Strong advocacy, negotiation, drafting and attention to detail. - Renowned for outstanding client service and communication skills (both written and verbal). - Ability to professionally and sensitively handle client and third-party interactions. - Knowledge of practice and procedure in Magistrates/Local, Supreme, and Federal Courts. - If you want to be the “glue” for our tribe and are a genuinely a nice person who is always willing to pitch in when the chips are down, then we will consider you We are a hardworking team, who pride ourselves on being loyal, supportive and we always work with the highest integrity.
