- $73,560 to $94,194pa + super (up to 12%)
Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A) - Level 3-6 of the MBRC EBA4 Certified Agreement
- 9 day fortnight
- 72.5 hour fortnight
- Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
- Location: Our Health & Safety Business Partners work across all Council facilities and locations. This role is based out of Strathpine and will be expected to travel throughout the region.

**About our opportunity**

We're looking for expressions of interest for a potential future opportunity from **recent university graduates or someone in the first few years of their safety career,** keen to use those skills and knowledge already gained and work closely with experienced mentors to grow and develop.

Our focus is in being proactive as we partner with the greater business to drive positive safety culture You will champion all things safety and wellbeing for all team members and coach, support and develop leaders and team members to ensure we continue to improve culture that will make a difference to how work is done.

As a Health and Safety Business Partner and member of the Wellbeing and Safety team you will:

- Facilitate and operationalise safety improvement strategies that support a positive and progressive safety culture.
- With a customer focused mindset - understand the key drivers within our Council and support leaders and team members in identifying and implementing complimentary wellbeing and safety initiatives.
- Review wellbeing and safety goals and achievements and provide our teams with continuous improvement ideas to minimise any risk and harm.
- Support key Council wide wellbeing and safety initiatives to drive engagement with your business partners.
- Identify opportunities and support the implementation of programs to continually develop our team’s safety awareness and engagement.

**About you**

You'll be curious and passionate about all things safety, getting out and about to meet people and learn first-hand what the operational risks and challenges are in their job. Your passion will be in understanding the key components of a progressive wellbeing and safety culture, and your role in being able to influence and drive change within various operational teams.

Whilst you may still be building your professional capabilities early in your career, you have the drive to make a difference and are ready to work in a supportive and fun team. You will be given the freedom to support your client groups using your own initiative and ideas in alignment with our Council values, whilst having the safety net of a well experienced leadership group to provide you with guidance and assistance as required.
